The only problem with mine is the star power doesn't activate on songs like Jordan. You have to press select.

I have 5 stars on it. It kinda helps cause I hit it right as I'm about to fail. And yes, that's the one my mom has.

How long have you had it for... I've had my Red SG for 8 months now, and apart from occasional "Game doesn't realise I actually have anything plugged into it", it's fine.
